# Privacy

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how it is used. There is no
advertising, and no data is sold.

## What is collected

- The pages you visit, including sections you open from the terminal
- The names of the commands you run, such as `ls` or `cd`. What you type after
  a command is never sent.
- Referrer, approximate location, device, browser and language, as inferred by
  Google Analytics

Visiting without JavaScript runs no analytics at all.

## Cookies

Google Analytics cookies (`_ga`, `_ga_*`) are only set after you run
`cookies accept` in the terminal. Until then, or if you run `cookies decline`,
no analytics cookies are stored in your browser, although Google Analytics may
still receive cookieless measurements. Your choice is remembered in your
browser's local storage.

## Payments

If you use `pay`, the amount, description and email you enter are stored in
Google Cloud Firestore and sent to [SumUp](https://sumup.com), which processes
the payment, and to Migadu, which delivers the notification emails. Card
details are entered in SumUp's form and go straight to SumUp; this site never
receives them. The payment form's answers are never sent to Google Analytics.

## Server logs

The hosting provider, Firebase Hosting by Google, records standard request logs:
the URL requested, time, response status, user agent and IP address. They are
used to understand traffic from both people and automated agents.

## How Google uses this data

See [How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services](https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites).

## Opting out

- Run `cookies decline`
- Install Google's [Analytics opt-out browser add-on](https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout)
- Browse with JavaScript disabled
